VKay Designs delivers precise sprinkler shop drawings, designed to meet NFPA code and local state or city building code requirements.
Main Service: Overhead shop drawings with hydraulic calculations to follow engineer’s intent while optimizing pipe sizing and sprinkler count where possible.
Additional Services (Optional, at Additional Cost): Prefabrication drawings and cut lists (PDF, .fab) for seamless fabrication.
Plumbing Shop Drawings
VKay Designs provides plumbing shop drawings, all modeled in 3D using Revit BIM Software to meet IPC standards and local state or city building code requirements.
Main Service: Above-ground shop drawings with sleeve/penetration details and underground drawings, following engineer’s intent while optimizing system design where possible.
Mechanical Shop Drawings
VKay Designs delivers mechanical shop drawings, all modeled in 3D using Revit BIM Software, with design practices meeting code requirements.
Main Service: Shop drawings with box openings, duct cut lengths, and adjustments to roof mechanical equipment layout, following engineer’s intent and customer preferences while optimizing HVAC and mechanical system design using constructible duct and fitting sizes based on subcontractor preferences where possible.
MEP Coordination & Clash Resolution
VKay Designs offers MEP coordination of Fire Protection, Plumbing, and Mechanical shop drawings.
Main Service: Coordination overlays aligning Fire Protection, Plumbing, and Mechanical trades with architectural and structural elements for clash-free designs, optimizing routing and maximizing ceiling heights. Includes 3D composite drawings (Navisworks NWD) to visualize and resolve conflicts across trades and structures, preventing costly on-site rework and tailoring solutions to project complexity.
Custom MEP Services
VKay Designs offers tailored MEP solutions to meet unique project needs, all modeled in 3D using Revit BIM Software and meeting code requirements.
Main Service: Custom shop drawings and partial modeling for Fire Protection, Plumbing, or Mechanical trades, including small additions (e.g., single system updates or partial layouts, electrical J-Box locations for lights, etc.) and extra scope work (e.g., hybrid trade designs or specialized coordination), following engineer’s intent and customer preferences (Note: Services can be scaled to fit your project’s scope).
